Trumpets, drums, banners and pennants, ensigns and horses, white and black, we’ll see them all go flashing past.

And no strength will stop the splendid glittering lances as they fly through the sky, nothing prevent the vestments of sendal, golden cloth and richly embroidered silks being shredded, rent to tatters, nor the ropes, tents, stakes, canvas cloth and lofty pavilions from being wrenched and torn asunder.

Then we’ll see gold and silver squandered, catapults winding up, taut, hurling, walls collapsing, towers broken, torn down, enemy ranks captured and clapped in irons.

And we’ll punish them with such blunt and brutal blows.

Great will be the loss, but much greater the gain.

Or rather, rich will be the man who plunders as he pleases.
